Me Here Now
For decades, I’ve been fascinated by the world of spirituality and psychology. As a child, I would devour biographies, longing to find out what made people tick. My favourite subject at school was Divinity and, at 15, I fell in love with theatre when the Royal Shakespeare Company came to town. I later deepened my appreciation for these two profoundly connected subjects with a degree in Drama & Religious Studies at London University.
Most of my professional life has been spent helping leaders be more effective from the inside out. After a short spell in retail management, I spent the majority of my salaried years supporting and developing leaders at the BBC in London. Since 1999, I have run my own leadership coaching business and relish the freedom, space and creativity it offers.
As well as individual coaching, I also enjoy working with groups and teams, supporting them to spend time together in a way that is honest, focussed and productive. So now I bring both the in-depth, intimate skills of a coach as well as extensive experience of holding group space to my Interfaith Ministry and Spiritual Accompaniment.
I have studied various forms of spirituality and sampled a wide range of spiritual retreats and personal growth workshops. One of those life changing moments was when I first discovered the Enneagram. After studying with several of the world’s leading teachers, I found my home with the deeply inspiring teachings of Don Riso and Russ Hudson of the Enneagram Institute. I became one of their first Authorised Workshop Teachers in 2006.
When I first came across The Interfaith Seminary I felt a
strong calling immediately. That it was possible to serve people as a minister without ‘religious portfolio’ I found deeply inspiring. There is no stained glass ceiling on this church and the whole world is my congregation!
My connection with the Divine has always been beyond labels and boxes. Words are completely inadequate to express my current sense of the ever-deepening Mystery. My ‘goal’ (if such a thing exists in this work) is to live a life informed and transformed by Being.
For me, spirituality is deeply practical. It is about living life fully, with body, heart and mind fully engaged. Spiritual practice supports me to be more present and awake, to be kinder to myself and others, to serve from a deeper perspective and to be open to all of life. Rather than being transported elsewhere by my spiritual practice, I find, to quote David Whyte, that I am ‘falling in love with solid ground.’
I am passionate about helping people find ways to know and express their Deepest Truth and supporting them to embody that Truth in their daily lives. I see myself as a creative partner for people who long to express the deepest wisdom of their body, heart and mind in all aspects of their life.
It’s my deepest joy to give time and space to support my spiritual unfoldment in ways that help me remember, integrate and embody what the deepest part of me has known all along. To that end, I am a long-term student of the Enneagram Institute and the Ridhwan Inner Work School.
…..whiskers on kittens. Here are a few of my favourite things.
Spending hours in a cosy cafe with a cappuccino, a warm cheese scone, my note pad and piles of interesting reading; walking by water; circle dancing to exquisite music; the English Lake District and the Scottish Highlands; laughing with good friends; lhasa apso dogs; collecting inspiring quotes, poems and stories; pottering about in my garden; cuddling into my husband’s warm chest and being in the presence of inspiring teachers.
May you dwell in the heart
May you know your wholeness
May you be happy
May you be at peace
Today and always

My Vow
At our ordination, we were invited to create a personal vow.
It is the guiding principle behind whatever I am called to do.
